Carers Allowance Digital Service

The DwP are very proud of their new on-line Carers Allowance application facility, they say that they “will continue to work with Carer’s organisations and Carers directly to ensure that the Digital Service can be understood and used regardless of a user’s web-experience, physical disability, learning difficulties or ethnicity.” The DwP also say that “Since it was introduced in October 2013, over 70,000 users have made a claim or reported a change of circumstances using the Digital Service….The Carer’s Allowance Digital Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

Over 80% of our carers prefered to use paper forms instead of on-line forms, fortunately though, the DwP are currently saying that there are no plans to remove the existing paper application forms.

We strongly advise anyone wanting to claim Carers Allowance to check the eligibilty criteria before attempting a claim, these criteria can be found here...

If you need to claim for Carers Allowance, or you are aware of someone who needs to make a claim and would be unable to do so on-line, and need to apply using a paper version, then it can be found here...
